*bastard child of house* is a tribute to chicagos most famous record store. inspired by a video about some native chicago guys working at the store, peter schumann and kareem decided to set words to a tune and create their own version of the story. they asked their buddy dcnt if he could add his interpretation too. and so it happened that words became sound and sound inspired more sound and as we speak everything turns into words again. with both versions the tooliness is very obvious, while the original is organic and warm in terms of tone and sound design, the dcnt version has a more technoish feel and relies heavily on its edgy and straightforward character.

a surprising house release, muredo, an ep with a generous acoustics in which the rythm is frontal but the story is told just behind. the raf are two habitual offenders of the well done track. when the muredo track slowly wakes you up and meticulously tries hard to describe the morning gestures, murefa carry on with a breathless ride. the second inspiration is only taken when everything had come to an end, in a calmness orchestrated by val at the helm of an abstract groovy remix. this ep is the first signature on the recent french label seconde and a lot of things are supposed to come soon.

j.a.m. traxx is an italian vinyl-only label for lovers of chicago house. featuring productions inspired by the sound of analog synths and machines of the early 80s. j.a.m. prefers a hypnotic atmosphere and everything that shows a genuine passion for an intricate rhythm. limited to 250 copies!

after all efforts were put into jacob korns debut album during summer 2012 uncanny valley strikes back with namesake jacob stoy and his very first solo ep after his s51 for the uv010-compilation. everything starts with redensart, a sunny piece of music with a sneaky bassline and easy synth pads that come across like a warm rain shower: its house in the end but feels like so much more. hauswart is an impressive example of how one can create a whole atmosphere of sound within two minutes. its short but feels so comfortable that you really like it to go on and on forever. start is maybe the most conventional deep house track on the ep and seduces with catchy synth chords and thrilling drums. finally gegenwart brings things to a jazzy end with tipsy synths and tripping percussions. the artwork comes from none other than jacobs father olaf stoy, who is a painter, lyricist and porcelain designer still working in jacobs hometown rabenau near dresden.

we have limited information on this one. bootholic is a strictly vinyl only label bringing past classics up to date with restricted vinyl numbers for djs only. this first record features two nineties house gems reworked for 2012, both of which have been picking up heavy support at dc10 this summer. enjoy.
